Amazon announced a long-term agreement with Tamil Nadu’s most successful producer, Kalaipuli S Thanu’s production company V Creations, making Amazon Prime Video India the exclusive subscription streaming home for two of the Tamil film industry’s highest grossing films.  These include, Kabali starring megastar Rajinikanth, Winston Chao and Radhika Apte and Theri, starring Vijay and Amy Jackson.  Earning over ₹500 crores in combined worldwide box office collections, this is the first time that top Tamil films will be available on a video streaming service at almost the same time as their satellite TV premiere.
